This postcard picture of the Cherry Hill Tourist Camp that was on M-60 just west of Union City.
Remember the restaurant that was located there back in the late 1950's, ate my first piece of pizza there.

History of Miller's Grocery and later Brott's Grocery Corner

The following history for the Miller's Grocery and later the Brott's Grocery corner, was prepared by my brother Marty Chard with the help of several people including Carl Miller's son Bob Miller who supplied most of the photo's and a photo of Bob Brott supplied by Barbara (McNett) Brott.

Picture provided to my brother Marty by Bob Miller, son of Carl Miller.  Carl is seen in the picture serving a customer at the walk-up window.  Another favorite stop in the summer when delivering the Battle Creek Enquirer & News.

Miller's Grocery - 1950's

Picture provided to my brother Marty by Bob Miller, son of Carl Miller who owned the Miller Grocery at the corner of M-60 and Broadway. As a boy I remember delivering the Battle Creek Enquirer & News to the grocery when Bob Brott was the owner.  I had 15 rural customers who would pick their copy up at the store.  Always looked forward to my stop at the grocery to get warm in the winter and buy a snack for my walk back to town.
