New School Building - 1932
This postcard references the addition to the original Union City School Building. The addition was finished prior to the first graduation held in the new school auditorium on 13 June 1932. The class of 1932 was the first class to graduate in the new school auditorium and the class of 1960 was the last. The 1960-1961 school year started in the new high school on St. Joseph Street. The building above had been used for kindergarden through 12th grades until a new elementry school was built and occupied in 1953. After the new high school was built the building was used as an Junior High School until a new Junior High School was build across from the High School. At that time, the building was razed and apartments built on the property.
